About Montgomery Plaza

Montgomery Plaza started out life as a Montgomery Ward warehouse in 1928. This was one of Montgomery Ward's premiere retail and mail order warehouses and trains could pull right in between the two buildings to be unloaded. When the company went out of business in 2001 this structure closed and was left vacant.

A few years later Montgomery Plaza was reborn as a mixed use retail and residential project. Fun fact: The company that originally built the warehouse was also the company contracted for the redevelopment project! The original 8-story warehouse was turned into a luxury condominium building with retail on the first floor. Behind that building a Super Target, restaurants and other retail outlets were added. Combine that with the vibrant Cultural District location and this is a truly walkable neighborhood for residents.

The rooftop pool deck is reportedly the biggest one in Texas at nearly one acre. There are reflecting pools, a swimming pool, fire pits and cabanas. The condos feature high ceilings and big windows and are finished in a luxury loft style. They range from one and two bedroom units to large three bedroom penthouses. Parking at Montgomery Plaza is on site in a secure garage.
